Oscar L. De la Rosa, founder of the De la Rosa Law Firm, was selected as a "Super Lawyer Rising Star" by Texas Monthly magazine in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Prior to forming the firm in 2004, he was a partner at Vinson & Elkins LLP at its Houston headquarters, where, between 1993 and 2004, he represented many of the Firm’s major energy, health care and insurance clients.  Today, he represents plaintiffs and defendants in business litigation, legal malpractice and serious personal injury cases.

Mr. De la Rosa won a National Merit Scholarship and graduated from Harvard College and Stanford Law School.  He is fluent in English and Spanish.

In March 2009, David A. Chaumette joined Mr. De la Rosa to form De la Rosa & Chaumette.  Mr. Chaumette, who had been a partner at Baker & McKenzie, LLP, is also “Super Lawyer” and “Rising Star.”  His practice has focused on complex commercial litigation matters and electronic discovery issues.  He also counsels several mid-sized companies on a range of legal issues from corporate transactions to employment issues.

Mr. Chaumette holds degrees in aerospace engineering from Princeton University and Stanford University and his law degree from The University of Chicago Law School.
